Awareness Training on Food Hygiene and HACCP System Workshop for BHM 6th Semester Students

The Hotel Management department of Shubhashree College of Management and Quality Excel Pvt. Ltd. organized one day HACCP and Food safety event on 2023.09.03 (17th Bhadra, 2080) in the college seminar hall for the current 6th semester students. The objectives of the training was to help the students to know the principles of food hygiene, its implementation, application of HACCP system and requirement fulfillment of the system so that students heading off to internship can apply in day to day practices.

14 students actively participated the training and later an assessment of their performance has displayed an amazing result followed by the certification program. Key trainer for the program was Mr. Nirbik Shrestha who engaged students with several learning activities like presentations, ice breakings, role play, media article and incidents evaluation, one minute paper and even chain notes. 

Six hours of interactive session came to an end with final notes and thoughts on training as well as career counseling from BHM Coordinator Subodh Subedi. Overall, the student found good exposure and key industry practice insight from the trainer and the BHM coordinator himself.
