Shubhashree College of Management hosted the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) which is a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs for its 4th & 5th semester BBA students. It provides opportunities for undergraduate students from various countries to study in the United States for a semester. Global UGRAD is designed to offer students a chance to experience the U.S. education system and academic environment. Participants attend classes at U.S. universities, engage with American professors and have the opportunity to explore different fields of study.
Students got a chance to understand the application process of UGRAD and how to qualify for the program. They also got an exposure to a new academic environment and a chance to develop a more global outlook on social, political, and economic issues, which can be beneficial in both academic and professional settings. They learnt engaging with peers, professors, and the local community in a foreign country can significantly improve communication skills. Students got insights on how to develop leadership skills and an understanding of effective teamwork, which can be applied in various contexts.
The program facilitates the creation of a global network. Participants build connections with fellow students, professors, and professionals from diverse backgrounds. This network can prove valuable for future collaborations, career opportunities, and academic pursuits. Participants gained a deep understanding of the US culture and community engagement activities during their stay.
