PMS Training Session for BHM 4th and 5th Semester

The Hotel Management department of Shubhashree College of Management organized 2 week long PMS  Training session on Front Office/Desk Management and operations. The training was carried out from on 23rd June till 5th July (9 to 21st Ashar). The objective of the training session was to familiarize students with front desk operations and specific task carried out using computerized system as well as basic organizing skills to implement in professional life.

Aegis HMS/Restro a comprehensive Hotel/Restaurant Management Software designed to streamline operations, boost revenue, control expenses, and optimize manpower costs was introduced to students for BHM 4th semester initially. Accommodation faculty Ms. Ranju Acharya took the session for the week for the junior semester and senior 5th semester for the final week. 

The training was mainly focused on the key areas as; Manage Multiple Room Category and Rooms without any restriction, the process of reservation and check-In, managing overbooking and its billing from the system, managing multiple rates i.e. rack/contract/package within the system in multiple currencies, managing individual as well as group reservation and check-in without any complication, Automatiac Email/SMS Notification on guest reservation/check-In and checkout, guest billing option with split/merge, city ledger and folio routing, creating guest profile and guest history management.
