The Hotel Management department of Shubhashree College of Management organized art and craft project based creativity competition entitled “Miniature Outlet Sketch Showdown” on 23rd April Tuesday within the college premises for the current BHM 5th and 6th semester students. The objective of the competition was to judge and evaluate students theoretical and practical knowledge blending creativity as outcome. The competition was a clash of miniature idea from 5th semester vs 6th semester students .
Twelve (12) students actively participated in event from 2 different semesters. During the event, each group consisting of 4 members were against other group. Each group were instructed to come up with some creative sketch and assemble in between 3 hours of time frame. All 3 of the group members came up with creative idea and sketch with proper story behind it. 6th semester teamed group came up with Bar and Lounge concept while the 5th semester first group came up with fine dining restaurant. Another diverse of 5th semester and is also a group blend of 3 girls and a boy came up with well thought, sketched and proper planned Coffee shop concept.
The competition was quite tough to judge as all 3 group ideas and conceptualization was top notch. However, based on judging critera from Mr. Avisekh Roy (Current College Manager of Shubhashree College of Management) the coffeeshop concept stood front keeping the other teams behind. The winning diverse team contribution was from Ms. Riya Angbuhang Limbu, Rashmita Tamang, Lasata Bajracharya and Sarat Bista.
The 3 hour session came to an idea with final thoughts from the judge followed by award and certificate distribution and photography.
